Struggling with L’Oreal toners? Let me make it easy ↓

Choosing between Dia Light and Dia Color doesn’t have to be complicated 👇

✨ Dia Light → for colored hair only (won’t touch virgin). Perfect for toning, glossing + shine.
• 9 vol = deposit, richer tone
• 15 vol = reflect, brighter + lighter effect

✨ Dia Color → when you need more deposit, depth, or to blend natural + the lifted hair .
• 6 vol = soft, level-on-level deposit
• 9 vol = stronger deposit
• 15 vol = more reflect + shine while anchoring color

Think of it like this:
➡️ Dia Light = tone + shine
➡️ Dia Color = depth + blend

Advanced made easy ✔️

This is the reality. These are the blonde conversations we should be having in every consultation.

Breakage, dryness, trims, at home care, and long-term commitment aren’t negative, they’re the reality of blonding. The more we normalize speaking about it, the more trust we build and the healthier our clients’ blondes will be.

PRO TIPS ↓

-What you leave out between foils is just as important as what you put in

-Precision comes from clarity. Place the lowlight where you want to see the contrast, nothing more.

- the colour doesn’t have to be perfect the first go, it just needs to be perfect before your client leaves.

• Lowlights: Dia Color 7.32 + 7.13
• Root drop: Dia Color 7 Natural
• Gloss: Dia Light 9.03 + 8.3 + 2g

I’ve never believed education should stop at “here’s how I do it.” The true growth as a stylist comes when you understand not only how to do something, but also why and how to apply them with intention in every part of your career.

This fall, I’m offering two very different but equally valuable opportunities to grow with me:

• September 28 – The Waitlist Class Collab with @brookecolours powered by @colourproworld .
This class is about more than blonding techniques. It’s about building the kind of artistry, confidence, and client experience that makes you the stylist with the waitlist. We’ll dig into what gets your work noticed, how to create results clients can’t stop talking about, and the strategies that build recognition and a steady, thriving business.

• November 17 – The Blonde Atelier at @blondologyyxe Salon, Saskatoon
“Atelier” translates from French as “the workshop of a master” but to me, it means even more: a sacred space where artists refine their craft, connect intention with execution, and elevate the smallest details into something extraordinary. In this class, we’ll move through the entire client journey

→ consultation & communication
→technical execution & colour mapping
→signature techniques & formulations
→sales & pre-booking,

and so much more, so you leave not only with techniques, but with a framework that makes your artistry intentional, predictable, and career-defining.

Two dates. Two different paths to growth. Both designed to give you the tools, confidence, and recognition you deserve.

Tickets are live now at www.itsjaimemarie.com or through the link in my bio.

It still amazes me how quick people are to type out hate and judgement on a screen without ever pausing to ask the simplest question: What’s the real story here?

Behind every post, every photo, every moment that gets shared online, there’s a full life you don’t see. There’s context, there’s pain, there’s growth, there’s sacrifice. There’s a human being who has felt every single word before you’ve even written yours.

When you hit “comment,” you don’t see the restless nights, the battles someone has fought just to show up… You don’t see the courage it takes to put something out there knowing people may not understand.

It’s easy to judge from the outside. It’s harder to extend compassion without knowing the whole story. But one choice is healing, the other is harm.

So here’s what I want to remind you:
Before you press send on that thoughtless comment, ask yourself: Would I still say this if I was face to face with the human on the other side?

If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of hate, please know this: the cruel words thrown at you are not a reflection of your worth. They are a reflection of the battles the other person hasn’t faced within themselves.

Let’s be the people who choose understanding over assumption. Empathy over judgement. Grace over hate.

Because the world doesn’t need more critics. It needs more humans willing to see each other fully, even when we don’t know the whole story.

PRO FOILING TIP: SLICES - what angle to choose and when ↓

Vertical placement = Dimension
Think of vertical foils as your go to when you want movement and separation. They create ribbons of contrast that fall more dimensionally with the hair, keeping the look dimensional and less solid.

Horizontal placement = Coverage
Horizontal foils pack in brightness. They collapse on themselves when hair falls, stacking light on top of light. Use them when you need maximum impact

Diagonal placement = Blending
Diagonal foils are the ultimate transition. They disperse light softly and are your bridge between bold sections and softer areas.

Stylists always ask me how to create a face frame that looks soft but still makes an impact. ✨

Here’s the secret: it’s not about more foils, it’s about strategic foils.

By pivoting around the hairline in pie sections and focusing on the recession zones, you create brightness exactly where it’s needed most, all while keeping the blend seamless.

This is the kind of placement that separates a “pretty highlight” from a professional technique clients notice and return for.

PRO TIP: If baby hairs and natural oils around the hairline are causing foils to slip, apply a thin layer of barrier cream along the hairline first.
This creates gentle tack for the foils, reduces weight pull, and helps prevent slipping that can cause bleed marks.

Let’s be real…the hairline can be the trickiest zone to get right, and the one your client notices first.

Before you start, assess:

• Growth patterns : check for cowlicks or changes in direction.

• Density : baby hairs often need smaller, finer sections.

• Placement : adapt your pattern to mimic hairline changes.

• Saturation : ensure full coverage without overloading fine hairs.
